Just as I was leaving the house to chase a cell south of Denver, one of my great photographer friends texted me about a cell 2 hours east. It was already 7PM so I was worried about catching it but I headed out east anyway. I ended up about 2.5 hours from Denver when I finally caught this cell. I headed down a country road and shot with my truck lights on to be able to get the foreground in the shot with the lightning blowing up in the cell in the background. I loved this shot because the lightning formed an “X” which is fairly unique considering I have very few images like this.
