Just as I was leaving the house to chase a cell south of Denver, one of my great photographer friends texted me about a cell 2 hours east. It was already 7PM so I was worried about catching it but I headed out east anyway. I ended up about 2.5 hours from Denver when I finally caught this cell. I headed down a country road and shot with my truck lights on to be able to get the foreground in the shot with the lightning blowing up in the cell in the background. I loved this shot because this may be my only shot where the lightning went from one cloud and straight through the other down to the ground.
