Peeping Through Aspens
Peeping Through Aspens
Fall is probably the season that I have photographed the least due to short timelines on the fall leaves. I was headed home from southern Colorado and decided to take a couple hour detour to an area that I always heard had amazing groves of aspens. Kebler Pass is a beautiful rugged road that highlines behind the town of Crested Butte. I came around the ridge and started shooting immediately upon arrival due to the beautiful colors and light starting to shine through the clouds which illuminated the trees. I liked a few of the shots that I took but I felt it lacked a dynamic vision. When I came across this grove of trees, I loved the way the aspens in the foreground flanked the mountain and the groves of aspens behind it. This was my envisionment of the perfect fall photo that we have in our beautiful state of Colorado.
