Dream Lake is a Colorado gem anytime of the year, but especially in the winter. As the temperatures drop and the winds begin to pick up through the winter, they begin to carve out the unique shape of waves on the frozen lake. I went up on a particularly rugged day with wicked winds and bone chilling cold. I knew I had to capture these ice waves with the moody clouds over the top of Hallett Peak off in the distance. This is one of my favorite shots I have ever taken at Dream Lake and I have taken too many to count at this point.
