When we got to the last ridge of our 17 mile hike down and out of the Grand Canyon, the sun finally started breaking through the clouds. We hadn’t seen the sun all day, we were exhausted and just wanted to get to our burgers and beers at the Grand Canyon lodge. I slowed down a bit when I started seeing the hues of sunset change all around us and I stood on the ridge for a while shooting one of the most beautiful sunsets I have ever seen. I am so grateful for the grind through the snow that we did all day because it made this capture all the more worthwhile and memorable.
