I was walking around a frozen lake shooting ice when the wind picked up and created snowdrifts all around me. I was watching the terrain for interesting snowdrifts when I saw a piece of broken ice on an ice mound on the lake. I went over to shoot it when the snowdrifts started up again and I wanted to capture them against the sun that was rising over the ridge of the mountain. This was one of the coolest snowdrift shots that I have been able to capture so far and has spurred a love for shooting and capturing snowdrifts for me.
