Peters Pool was quite the surprise while we were visiting Franz Josef Glacier. The pool is actually a small kettle lake that was created almost 200 years ago from the ice melting on the glacial moraine. Franz Josef Glacier is located right through the middle of the canyon but could not be seen from this view due to it receding over the years as the glacier has melted. This small body of water lends itself perfectly to reflections as the water was very still.
