When we pulled up in our camp site near Glacier National Park, one of our neighbors told us the Aurora had been very active the past few nights. I didn't want to waste a night even though my brakes had gone out when we got in, so I found a river about a half hour walk away from our site. As I started walking towards the forest road I needed to head to, a fox sprinted out and startled me. I finally got to this river and was shooting around until I found this stream. I had never shot the milky way with a river or stream so I loved grabbing this beautiful scene. The night sky was absolutely beautiful that night and the mountains and forest of Glacier National Park only made the scene that much better. The highlights on the rocks were done by accident because I was looking around with the flashlight trying to make sure no wildlife was around, especially grizzlies.
