When I was headed toward Utah from Arizona I decided to look up some slot canyons as it would be a somewhat new experience for me. I found one near the border that looked intriguing and I wanted to check out. At first the canyon was very dry but as I continued through the canyon the water started building up and was filled with dirt which gave the water a chocolate look to it. I took a bunch of different shots in the canyon but I wanted to get one that had some element of the sky in it. The sky is typically hard to capture with canyon shots as the proper exposure is crucial in order to capture the photo correctly. This is actually a blend of 3 different photos to adjust for the lights, shadows, and focus of this shot.
