I went down to San Diego in late 2023 which is where I lived for 3 years before moving back to Colorado in 2016. I did not pick up photography until I moved back to Colorado so I wanted to go capture some special shots of San Diego. I went to the tide pools at the Cabrillo National Monument which is somewhere I loved to visit back in the day. I watched the waves crashing on the rocks for a while before I noticed this area where the waves were really exploding off the rocks. I set up here and took a few shots before I got this one. The water was cold and hit the lens quite a few times but I was happy with this shot right before I got soaking wet from the wave.
