In the summer of 2023, I chased a cell out of Denver about an hour and a half east. I watched the back end of the cell continually morph and evolve over the course of a couple hours before I got right underneath it. This was the first time I ever got to watch an entire cell unfold right before my eyes and it was mesmerizing. The clouds unfolded like a rolled up blanket and created the most ominous clouds and lightning I have ever seen. This was hands down my favorite chase of the entire season.
