When I went out seeking gators the thing I loved the most was that it felt like a game of hide and seek. The gators do an amazing job of sneaking through the swamp and they have an amazing ability to blend into the world around them. I did not notice this gator until I was getting ready to leave and spotted it at the last second. I had just visited Clyde Butcher’s gallery which is amazing and he focuses on black and white photography which inspired me for this shot. I also highly recommend visiting his gallery if you are in the Everglades and Big Cypress area.
